Inspire, empower and boost your students’ confidence and skills by entering the UK’s top STEM competition for young people. It’s not just for top students and you don’t have to be a STEM expert to take part – sign up for top tips and advice on how to create a project and prepare for judging for The Big Bang Competition.
The Big Bang Competition recognises and rewards young people’s achievements in all areas of science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM), whilst providing them with the opportunity to build their skills and confidence in project-based work.
Students can enter any project work they have completed, be it at school or through a STEM club or at home!
Competitors enter their projects through online heats for a chance to showcase their work at The Big Bang Competition Finals, where finalists compete for amazing prizes, including coveted titles of GSK UK Young Scientist of the Year and GSK UK Young Engineer of the Year.
Projects are judged by leaders in industry and academia, who provide feedback to all competitors/finalists to help them continue to build their ideas, skills and confidence.
