The Kickstart scheme is aimed at helping young people between the ages of 16-24 at risk of long-term unemployment get into the job market by providing government funding for employers to create six-month job placements. Funding will cover 100% of the National Minimum Wage for 25 hours a week, National Insurance contributions, and employer minimum automatic enrolment contributions. This is available until December 2021. So far thousands of additional jobs across the country have been accepted meaning there are currently a large number of fantastic opportunities for a route into an industry of interest.
If you would like to know more information please see details on this one-off hour webinar on Wednesday 28th July at 5pm for any young person leaving or out of education wanting to start a career in Health & Social Care.
There are over 200 vacant jobs in the sector and employers are looking for young people to join them for a PAID 6-month placement. Not only is this a chance to work at an amazing company and gain some great experience but it is a springboard to the start of careers! Young people will hear from employers, members of the team on skills necessary and from a Kickstart placement candidate to answer any questions, as well as showing young people how and where to apply!
