Get Involved

Date: 30 May

Are you a provider and wish to get first hand knowledge and insights from the Careers Hub and the Careers and Enterprise Company or promote your offer to local schools and colleges? This page provides more information no how you can do this.

We are committed to supporting all organisations who deliver careers guidance and education across England and there are two ways you can get involved.

  1. Utilise Digital Tools to help you access the CEC’s Network of schools, special schools, colleges and HUBs. Careers Leaders tell us that they are inundated with offers and opportunities from delivery providers and so we have created an online solution where Providers can advertise and showcase their activities, resources and offers directly to them.
Provider Directory – sign up to be showcased on our Provider Directory where Careers Leaders can search for organisations and activities local to them.
Resource Directory – Providers can apply to have resources listed, as well as access them.
Primary Platform – Providers can apply to have Primary resources listed, as well as access them.
  2. Join the CEC’s active Community of Practice for Providers which aims to develop and improve the impact Careers Education has on young people. The Community benefits from regular opportunities to meet with likeminded organisations, a quarterly newsletter and updates from the CEC and wider sector, and CPD opportunities for members and their staff. You can join the Community here.

Provider Directory Process:

  1. Register for an account – CEC will review check your organisation meets our requirement of delivering careers activities to schools, special schools and colleges.
  2. Once approved you can then begin building your profile, adding any activities you offer, the localities you deliver in and provide all the info a school might need to get in touch.
  3. We will review each of your activities against the Gatsby Benchmarks you have listed and then either approve or come back to you for any clarifications.
  4. Once they’re happy, the CEC will approve the submission and your profile will go live for Education Institutions to find and contact you.

If you are interested in being more engaged with school activities locally, you can also consider the Careers Champions Programme.
